Today I had the pleasure of reading to the great students at Hype Academy. This is my second year visiting Hype Academy and it’s dually special to me because my friends Arianne & Joshua Jolla created Hype Academy at the same time that I started my publishing company and wrote my first book, “The Little Who Dat, Who Didn’t”. So for me, it’s somewhat of an honor to speak to their students.
While there, I had a great time with the kids. I usually speak and read to young children but today I was fortunate enough to talk to kids between the ages of 12 and 17. I tried to stress the importance of reading, following your ideas, living a purpose driven life and staying away from the bad things like drugs and crime. I told them that they can do anything that they want to do and provided examples that hopefully stuck with them. I can tell that these students are receiving a top tier education due to the questions and answers I received from them the entire time. They all have great ideas and some of them have even begin to follow through with those ideas which made me feel good. Hopefully, some of the things I said stuck with them. It was great and anytime they ask me to visit I’ll be there.
