A few days ago I had the opportunity to read at Coghill Elementary located in Pontchartrain Park. I read to the third grade and kindergarten classes. I had a great time reading and I think I really connected with the kids during our discussion after I finished. We talked about the book, what it’s like being an author, whether I was rich or not and how I got to meet Barack Obama, Michael Jordan, Drew Brees, Justin Bieber, Serena Williams, Neil Armstrong and their favorite (as sad as it is) Nicki Minaj. I told them, “I got to meet them because I write books and I love to read.” It was a good time.
